Bet on What Pete Hegseth Says During Fox News Interview

Pete Hegseth, President-Elect Donald Trump's choice to be Defense Secretary, is slated to appear on Fox News Wednesday afternoon.  His mom, Penelope, had appeared on the network earlier in the day.

Polymarket released odds on what Hegseth will say during the interview.

None of this may matter as reports began surfacing that Trump is now considering Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for Defense Secretary.

Hegseth is facing questions about his ability to effectively lead the Pentagon following a sexual assault allegation, which he has denied.

Penelope Hegseth addressed the controversy surrounding a fiery email she sent her son Pete in 2018 during an interview with "Fox & Friends" on Wednesday.

The email accused Pete of being an “abuser of women” and that she has “no respect for any man that belittles, lies, cheats, sleeps around, and uses women for his own power and ego,” according to the New York Times. It came after an unidentified woman in 2017 alleged in a police report that Pete Hegseth had sexually assaulted her, which he has denied.

Penelope Hegseth said during the Fox News interview that Pete Hegseth, 44, is not the same man he was seven years ago.

Pete Hegseth is expected to sit for an interview with Fox News on Dec 4 (see: https://x.com/kaitlancollins/status/1864083486078119986).

This market will resolve to "Yes" if Hegseth says "Trump" 5 or more times during the interview. Otherwise, the market will resolve to "No".

Any usage of the term regardless of context will count toward the resolution of this market.

Pluralization/possessive of the term will count toward the resolution of this market, however other forms will NOT count.

Compound words will count as long as "Trump" is part of the compound word and references the meaning which refers to the person Donald Trump or his family.

This market may only resolve to "No" if the interview has finished airing in its entirety and the Yes condition wasn't met. If the interview has not aired in its entirety by December 6, 2024, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve based on what has aired up to that point. If no interview is aired by this time, this market will resolve to "No".
